Cookie Policy

Document revision: 2026-08-29

Last updated: 29 August 2026

This policy explains what we store on your device when you use the Anoosh website, why, and how you control it. It complements our Privacy Policy and does not replace it.

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files your browser stores on your device. We also use other browser storage (Local Storage and Session Storage) for similar purposes; this policy covers those too.

2. The categories we use

We use exactly two. We run no advertising cookies, build no interest profiles, do not track you across other websites, and do not sell your data.

2.1 Necessary (cannot be switched off)

The site does not work without these, so they are not offered as a choice. They cover:

Session cookie: keeps you signed in after you enter your verification code. It is httpOnly, so page scripts cannot read it.

Language preference (anoosh.locale): remembers whether you chose Arabic or English.

Your cookie decision (anoosh.cookie-consent): stores your answer to the banner so we stop asking on every visit.

Local storage for your bag, favourites, addresses and collection method before you sign in, so a page refresh does not lose your choices.

Payment: our payment provider (Moyasar) sets what it needs to complete the transaction securely and prevent fraud.

2.2 Analytics (optional)

These tell us which pages get visited and where the experience stalls, so we can fix it. The provider is PostHog, configured as follows:

No session recording, no cursor tracking, and no automatic capture of your interactions with form fields — which includes checkout and card entry.

A small, reviewed set of events (page opened, added to bag, order placed) plus page performance measurements.

No personal profile is created until you sign in; before that the numbers stay anonymous.

If you decline this category the analytics library is never loaded at all — not merely muted. If you withdraw consent later we stop collecting and clear the identifier held against you.

3. How to control them

On the site: the "Cookies" link in the footer of every page reopens your preferences at any time, so you can change or withdraw your choice.

In your browser: you can delete or block cookies in your browser settings. Blocking the necessary ones will prevent signing in and placing orders.

We keep your decision for one year, then ask again. If we add a new category we ask before using it.

4. Your rights and contacting us

Your rights under the Saudi Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL) apply as described in our Privacy Policy. For any question about this policy: info@myanoosh.com or +966593827836.

Customise cookie preferences

Cookies help us run and improve the site. The necessary ones can't be switched off — the site doesn't work without them. Everything else is your call, and you can change it any time.
